====== Northwick Manor Heritage Trail ====== {{ :northwick-info-board-small.jpg?300|Pictured, Libby Stevenson, Age 5, discovering the history of Northwick}}A circular walk through Northwick and Bevere, along existing rights of way, has been way-marked and illustrated with interpretation panels and reconstruction drawings, bringing the fascinating story of this historic landscape to life. {{ :{{:northwick-sarah-fenn-small.jpg?215|Sara Fenn with one of her panel designs}}Interpretation panels were designed by students as part of the Graphic Design and Media course at the University of Worcester and a winning design concept chosen by local people. The winning student, Sara Fenn, has since gone on to launch her own company, [[http://www.urbanmind.co.uk|Urban Mind]], and gave up hours of her own time to see the project through. Drawing on research by residents of Northwick and Bevere and members of the Worcestershire Young Archaeologists' Club, the panels also feature wildlife illustrations by Valerie Briggs and archaeological reconstruction drawings by Steve Rigby. The panel frames were produced by Worcester City Council's Parks department using green oak from sustainably-managed woodland. The Trail was launched on May 1st, 2010 by Professor Mick Aston, at an exciting May Day festival event. A leaflet to accompany the trail has also been produced and can be downloaded here. {{:webimage_leafletfront_copy.jpg?75 |Northwick Manor Heritage Trail leaflet}}{{:northwickmanorheritagetrailleafletandmap.pdf|Northwick Manor Heritage Trail leaflet}} Back to the [[northwick|Northwick Manor Community Heritage Project ]]Home page
