The Northwick Manor Community Heritage Project has a number of partners and where possible hopes to link in with their existing projects and initiatives. Listed below are some information and links to partners, and some of the projects that they are working on.
Five hundred years of documents relating to all aspects of Worcester life are being made accessible thanks to HLF funding awarded to Worcestershire Record Office. Two dedicated staff are working on WASP and will complete the project to coincide with the opening of the new Library and History Centre in 2011. They will produce an online catalogue of the archive, exhibitions and educational resources, most of which will support the national curriculum.

Worcestershire Record Office is one of our project partners and has been involved in the organisation of some of our events. We were delighted to welcome archive staff to our Historic Maps talk in February when they very kindly brought along the fascinating 18th century Map of the Manor of Claines by John Doharty, Junior.
Gheluvelt Park is a memorial park built in honour of those lost in the First World and has recently received £803,000 of lottery funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project is a partnership between Worcester City Council, Friends of Gheluvelt Park and the Duckworth Trust. The park will benefit from many improvements including a new play area; new water play feature; war memorial; and reinstated park railings.

The Parks Department of Worcester City Council is one of the project partners and has organised talks on behalf of the Northwick project as well as producing the oak frames that will house the finished interpretation panels along the route of the Northwick Manor Heritage Trail.
The winning designs for the soon to be created Northwick Manor Heritage Trail were produced by former University of Worcester student Sara Fenn, as part of one of her second year assignments. Since then Sara has gone from strength to strength, launching her own graphic design business called Urban Mind. Sara continues to support the project, giving her time freely to the production of the final interpretation panels and we are confident that with her skills, the designs will be both clear and unobtrusive to the rural setting.
Sara's website is available at www.urbanmind.co.uk
We have been delighted to welcome The Gallery at Bevere as a partner from the beginning of the project. The Gallery has a jam-packed programme of exhibitions throughout the year and will be exhibiting the winning entries to our Photography and Art competition which closes in February 2010. They will also act as part of the judging panel for the competition.
