Activity one saw us trying wattle and daubing in the shell of Plas Cadwgn, a medieval building that would have been made up of these panels. First we created the framework, before putting on some clay.
In the second activity we had a go at brick making. At first we tried making them with our hands, before being along wooden slats to enable us to give them straight sides. When we laid them all out it could be seen that without moulds we had created a wide variety of shapes!
In the afternoon we had a go at putting together a large model of a timber framed house, after first seeing a real one - the Tudor Merchant's house, built in 1558.
We had a look at the windmill, built mid 19th century and brought from Warwickshire, and were joined by a very special guest!
Before leaving we saw the blacksmith at work in his forge.
